I was thrilled to find this new album by the unfortuntely not-so-well-known Whistlebinkies! Timber Timbre is another outstanding recording following closely in the footsteps of their 1996 album, A Wanton Fling. Beautiful Scottish airs, reels and songs, including a surprising adventure into a set of traditional Chinese tunes -- played on pipes, of course. Highly recommended!

This takes me back home to my childhood when we loved to dance and sing at ceilidhs. The music is authentic, the singing pure, and the gaelic clear and soft as I remember it being spoken in my native hebrides. Thank you whistlebinkies.
