The young boy Tim, his Loyal friends, Ginger and Charlotte and the Captain McFee save the day again in this beautifully illistrsted childrens story. In this small sea side town Captain McFee takes the three children out in his boat to visit the lighthouse. The children are very fond of the lighthouse keeper and Ernie, the young man who polishes the big glass light at the top. One stormy night when Tim is safely tucked away in his bed at home he notices, to his horror that the light from the lighthouse is not turned on and any ships that go by might be wrecked on the dangerous rocks below it. Tim is worried by this so sneaks out in the night to warn captain Mcfee. Their only option is to risk sailing the stormy sea so together captain McFee, Tim, Ginger and Charlotte go to the lighthouse to find both the lighthouse keeper and Ernie, unconcious on the floor of the lighthouse. They have been attacked by some horrible wreckers that have turned the light off hoping that the great ship due to be sailing that way would hit the rocks leaving rich cargo that would be washed ashore for the wreckers to steal. Tim suceeds to turn the big light back on but this is the last of their problems. How will all four of them stop the evil wreckers coming back to switch the light off again? Find out in this great fun tale of adventure and bravery for children.

Another fabulous book in the little Tim series. My 3 year old loves them all and this is no exception. The language is wonderfully antiquated but the tale is an epic adventure from start to finish and once against brave little Tim and his friends triumph in the face of adversity. Wow, what a tale!
