5.0 out of 5 stars An amazing anthology of speculative fiction 21 Mar 2014
By micheal bohmer - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Kindle Edition
'Till Human Voices Wake Us' is another example of the talent and imaginative genius of one of the best authors I have had the pleasure of reading in many years. It is said that the short story is the most difficult form of prose but Annie makes it look easy. Her stories are all exciting and imaginative. They run the gamut of heart pounding action adventure to stories exploring the human (or alien or lycanthrope) condition. Her ability to write descriptive combat, that makes you feel like your actually there, is over shadowed only by her incredible knack for conveying human emotion; you feel the characters' pain, experience their sadness and share in their joy. It is a collection that anybody who wants to experience great story telling at it's finest should read. I can not recommend this anthology more highly, you'll get far more than your money's worth. Oh and look out for Crawlies, this is my personal favourite; it brought a lump to my throat. All I can say in conclusion is: BUY THIS BOOK!

5.0 out of 5 stars A Great Collection! 21 Mar 2014
By McCurry - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Kindle Edition
I thoroughly enjoyed this collection of 20 short stories! The stories were well written, and the author paid attention to detail. Each of these stories could stand alone, but they are a great collection all together! I definitely have my favorites, like the one the book is named after! They would be a great read for anyone, especially those who enjoy sci-fi and fantasy books. They can be read all at once or in spurts whenever you have time. Definitely a must read, and a great addition to anyones book collection!

4.0 out of 5 stars Nice Variety 12 Mar 2014
By NONOBADKITTY! - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Kindle Edition
This book is a generous, solid variety of short stories. The ones I liked most were "No Gift of Words," "Delilah," "No Spaceships Go" and "The Scent of Sunlight." I especially liked the way the author described the scenes in the stories that made it easy to imagine being there, and the flavor she used fit each story. I also enjoyed the broad variety of subject matter and characterizations she used. She's a very versatile story-teller. Some of the stories were more developed than others, but overall I enjoyed most of them. A couple I skimmed through though. I will definitely be keeping an eye out for new works by this author though.
5.0 out of 5 stars I love short stories 24 July 2014
By Sandra Padgett - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Kindle Edition
I love short stories. This collection was well done. In some the take is more plot driven and in others it is more character driven. Science fiction and fantasy are well covered here. There is action, lots of imagination and plotting that won't let you down. I will be looking for more from this author. I received this free through Library Thing giveaways for an honest review.
4.0 out of 5 stars but i have to say that I enjoyed them greatly 9 May 2014
By Lady Hopkins - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Kindle Edition
I was given the opportunity to read this for free in exchange for an honest review from librarything.com.

Some of these stories don't fall under my usual fare, but i have to say that I enjoyed them greatly. Nice change of pace.
