5.0 out of 5 stars One of THE best tiger books ever written!, 4 Jul 2003
Tiger, about the most endangered Chinese tiger, is informative, extremely clever and brilliantly written. The author's understanding of the tiger is apparent, the illustrations are stunning, and the acknowledgement of the attitude of the Chinese youth of today is a worthy tribute. The twist at the end is a heart-stopping jolt. I defy anyone not to have a lump in their throat! So little has been written about the Chinese tiger and there has been even less research. This book sums up this elusive, beautiful tiger to prefection.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good fiction to learn about tiger facts, 30 Nov 2007
By thegoodbook (Sevenoaks, UK) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Tiger (Hardcover)
This is a well written, intelligent story about tigers in China - showing the different attitudes between the 'hunter', villagers and a little village boy. The story has a nice twist at the end. Recommended for including tiger facts within an interesting story. Probably ages 4-7.
