This was a present for me being a tiger tank fan having many books on the subject I am very pleased with it there are a lot of photos that I have never seen before the art work is of good quialty there are a few slip ups as noted in one review which should have been adressed but do not be put off it is a very good book which hopefully will be released in hard back

I have several books on the Tiger tank but this one has to be the best yet. Many of the photographs used are new to me and the text, whilst not comprehensive, is excellent. The highlight of this book must be the truly excellent profiles by Jean Restayn with over 80 different tanks covered. I think you will not find a better Tiger package in one book. Recommended

Tigers on the eastern and western front are all here, illustrations are well done, book is mostly consist of b/w photos, illustrations and captions. Highly recommended to the Tiger fans and modelers. One down thing about the book is the softcover bounding which I believe is going to split into pages.

Is that it ????? 23 Oct 2013

As an avid Tiger fan I have a large number of good, and not so good books on this legendary fighting machine including both of Jean Restayn's books on this topic. This one falls into the category of seen it before.

If you have "Tiger I on the Western Front" and "Tiger I on the Eastern Front" then you pretty much have this book already, don't get me wrong these are good picture/photo books with just enough text to keep you interested. However this new one really fails in its effort to provide you new quality up to date information.

I bought this book on the advertisement ".........been revised and augmented, with more accurate captions as to dates and locale, together with new illustrations and a chapter on additional units." - wrong

As mentioned from the previous reviewer there are still mistakes that haven't been corrected, which is ok as I wanted the book for the additional units. This consisted of a half dozen pages that included a brief (very brief) paragraph on the PanzerKompanie Paderborn, Panzerkompanie Panther, Panzer -Abteilung Munchenberg and a page on the Borgward.

The book is a paperback and from the size I do not think it would last long from wear and tear along the spine once you have read this a couple of times or have used if for reference for that model, and a hard covered book would have been better.

In summary a disappointment
A great book with excellent photos and art work 9 Feb 2014

I have always been interested in the Tiger Tank and in my view this is one of the best books that I have seen for showing a pictorial history of the Tiger in action.
