arjan sinsh,thje indian hunter turned conservationist, he was born 15aug1917 and died 1jan2010 ,like jim corbett he never married, but he lived with her sister Amar,he is good writer, he wrote several books,as i remember.the first book he wrote was tiger haven in 1973 and then tara a tigress in 1981- third book came a year later prince of cats in 1982, in 1984 he wrote the famouse book tiger,,tiger- ,9 years later the legend of maneater in 1993 ,in 1998 came arjan singh,s tiger book and then one of the best of his books Eelie and the big cats in 2001 in age of 84, Eelie was his dog,s name, a brilliant book of love and passion between human and animals and his last book watching india,s wildlife in 2003, no writer could do better and he does in this age, he died peasfully in first jan 2010, his biography published in 2005 by DUFF HART-DAVIS honorary tiger in 224 pp.
