A great book to use when you're not sure how to pray.,

Do sometimes find you want to pray, but don't know what to say? The style of these prayers will take you back to the simplicity of the Christian faith and remind you that prayer isn't about how many or what kinds of words you use, but simply about resting in God. Moreover, by using the analogy of the tides, Adams make a connection to the ebbs and flows we all experience in every aspect of our lives, not just prayer. Really encouraging if you feel at 'low tide' or 'ebb tide' - these are times of richness too, if you know what to look for - and also if you are anticipating change in your life. Good if you are reflective and, like me, find nature a rich source of inspiration.

"Time and Seasons" has some really lovely, inspiring and usable prayers. They are excellent for personal or group prayer.

This book was given to me when I was grieving the death of my boyfriend who died at he age of 27. It got me thru some very hard times. I would recommend this beautiful collection to anyone in need of moments of peace and comfort. That is all of us. God bless David Adam!

A beautiful collection of Celtic poems and prayers. They are written in everyday language, accessible, and relevant to our times. The prayers evoke a connection with the Divine Spirit irrespective of religious affiliation. I especially enjoyed selecting a particular one and meditating on it. Very rich!
