Terrible 17 Sep 2004
By Chris Morse VINE™ VOICE
Format:DVD
One of the worst films I've ever seen.
The only redeeming feature of this film was going to be the fight scenes, so why were they shot in the dark with only close-ups of Segals face!!!?
And the end, what a load of rubbish. As if he would start having a phiosophical debate with a guy who's trying to defuse a bomb about to go off.
Absolute rubbish. I just cant believe the other reviewers gave it more than 1 star (there's not a no star option which is a pity)

deary me... 11 Aug 2002
Format:VHS Tape
Well this film has steven seagal and dennis hopper in it, you could be fooled into thinking you were going to be seeing a good film, however you wont be. Saying that though, having read other reviews of the film mine is a consitent opinion, however i thought it was watchable, just! At times, the now over weight Steve S seems awkward doing his infamous martial arts,at times in the fight scenes it appears it may not even be him becuase of the dodgy filming its hard to make it out. however some of the fight scenes are quite good, and there are a few explosions, hopper has a similar role to his role in speed, a mad bomber n Steve S et al have to stop him, thats the basic plot, this film is ok, i would reccommend it Seagal fans

I laughed from minute to end. The film starts with a siege between baddies and cops and of course out of no where every single cop car explodes, even one that's derelict and about 1 mile from the first explosion.
Seagal is a bomb expert and is now put to the test against Dennis Hopper who is kindly planting bombs around the city.
Seagal joins forces with the cops and chases this bomber. However...suddenly out of no where the cops and Seagal move into a large building which has a bomb in it. Seagal being the bomb expert decides to hack at his oponents with his fists, showing his martial arts expertise as a bomb expert. After much poor acting and showing off Seagal walks to the top of the building. He then can't be bothered to disarm a bomb on the bottom floor. Giving instructions to a cop, Seagal tells him to disarm it which takes about 5 seconds.
All in all totally ridiculous. Seagal, a bomb expert knows martial arts, can't disarm anything and towards the end of the film starts philosophising about nothing.
So if your a Seagal fan you will definately have action and Seagal damaging more bodies than Jackie Chan.
As for the DVD its pretty pathetic with no bonus material.

Not bad, a little different...
This film seems to have less fighting scenes than a usual Seagal-flick. The fights are usually his strong point, so it does deract from the film somewhat. Read more

Not the Best
I am a big fan of Steven Segal and was looking forward to the movie. I settled down, with my chocolate, and waited for the action. I was in for a disappointment. Read more

Not what you expect
Sadly a waste of money and time. Segal delivers another dud. As previous reviewers have stated the cast was very good but the story line repetitive and boring. Read more
