The Gyuto Monks, in exile in India since the annexation of their native Tibet, have developed a tradition of singing that involves producing the lowest possible notes in the vocal range while simultaneously singing high overtones. The resulting sound suggests a symphony of inspired bullfrogs whose passion is Buddha, not Budweiser, croaking endlessly while rotating a wet foot around the perimeter of a giant wineglass. Which is a pretty mundane metaphor for music that produces such a powerful sense of dread and spiritual awe. Track 2 also includes clattering drums, some made of human crania. There are 2 tracks on this CD, the first is pure chanting of prayer which eminates exceptionally strong vibrations and highly assists healing and meditation. The second track introduces instruments, which again increases the vibration during healings. Admittedly, I found it a bit strange to begin with, but working with it brings exceptional results and I am now reluctant to use anything else! If you are into healing techniques such as Reiki, this is an absolute "MUST HAVE" to use when you require stronger energy. (Would advise not to be used on first time clients!)

The deep chanting voices do resonate with you. It was a little unusual to begin with but also hugely calming. Rediscovering the CD in my stack after having been to Nepal and having been listening to prayer ceremonies there this CD resonates even more with me.
