This book is educational, informative and a thoroughly good read, it explains the functions of the thyroid and thyroid disease in layman terms so that it is easy to understand. I have suffered from thyroid disease for a few years and this book has enabled me to understand better my symptoms and enabled me to make informed decisions about the treatments available especially in terms of the thyroid eye disease. I particularly like the questions and answers section after each chapter. I would strongly recommend this book to fellow sufferers and non sufferers.

I liked the fact that this was about the situation in the UK, as I have read other books that were from the USA, which include information that is not always relevant. I also found this easy to understand, but with enough detail to make everything clear.

This book says exactly what it is on the packet!
I came home from a long awaited appointment, hoping to have my questions answered by the consultant. Unfortunately, none were, and I found this book online. All the things that I needed answers for were clearly laid out in a frank, but sensitive manner. Immensley helpful.
