Constantly in need of money, Charlie, a retired truck driver, is persuaded to act as "bait" in a plan to trap and destroy a band of international terrorists. For $250,000, he will drive a cargo of Plutonium across 200 miles of rugged desert terrain to a top secret research centre armed with the deadliest of perimeter defences. To carry out the hazardous mission, he purchases "Thunder Run" a 65 foot, 18-wheel road monster and with the help of his grandson Chris, turns the giant truck into a war wagon of destruction. In order to survive, they will have to match their skill and courage against the ruthless cunning of the terrorists seeking to ambush the precious cargo; they must sustain the chase long enough for the terrorists to commit all their forces.

If you like a bit of 80's cheese then you can't do any worse. It's good fun for an evening if you've got nothing better to do!
