Good idea, however, the tripod feels quite flimsy, and the lens covers up some of the iPhone lens. Overall has quite a cheap feel and for the price I am not overly impressed.

Eye scope for iPhone 4

Easily fitted together and gives a good telephoto image, but advertising it as a zoom lens is misrepresentation. It's a fixed 8x telephoto lens and has no optical zoom function. The rotatable ring that looks like a zoom control actually adjusts the focus.

Brilliant

For the price, I wasn't expecting much. I just wanted it for a little project I was going to do for fun and needed something cheap that would do the job okay. But this is actually really good! The tripod is reassuringly sturdy, and very handy to chuck into a small bag (the legs extend to nearly double the original length too). The attachment that holds the iPhone, screws on top of the tripod, but the really handy thing is it will screw onto any tripod you happen to already have. The focal lens is much better than I expected, 1000x better than the zoom in the iPhone (which we all know is terrible) but this lens makes a very clear photo, not draw-dropping-ly amazing but a good photo none the less, as clear as if you didn't have a zoom on at all. Just be aware that it does not a zoom lens in the sense that you can zoom in and out, it is a focal lens, it just zooms 8x and that's it so if make sure that is what you are looking for. The lens screws onto a kind of bumper case for the iPhone, it's a fairly good case considering it's designed for occasional use; I definitely would not recommend using it as a bumper case all the time though as once it's broken you won't be able to use the lens.
Overall I'm very pleased with this product. It's exactly what I wanted and does the job very well. It probably wouldn't be great for you if you're a professional or very serious photographer (though if you are you have probably passed this by already). It pretty much does what it says it'll do and better, so for that I can't fault it.

Nice idea but...

The item was put together pretty quickly and although the instructions were basic they did the job. When I tried out the lens I found that it covered up the flash and therefore every picture that required flash came out as a blob of white light. If you are using the lens the flash wouldn't help that much anyway but it seems like a strange oversight. The lens works ok although when zooming in and out I found that sometimes I started to unscrew the lens from the iPhone cover by mistake. Overall it's ok but I'm glad this was a Christmas present and not something I had purchased for myself.
