4.0 out of 5 stars Greeny 12 April 2009
Format:Audio CD
Worth buying for 'Greeny', and interesting for any follower of the Bluesbreakers in their various early formations.
Essential if you already have the major Mayall albums and rate Peter Green as probably the finest guitarist of his era.

5.0 out of 5 stars brilliant 25 Nov 2010

Growing Old with John Mayall, I guess people must think Iam cracked, a granny in her late sixties, blasting out his music from the car! If in the next year or so I am registred deaf, I will only have the Bluesbreakers,John Mayall and Eric Clapton & Co to blame! I am impressed.

4.0 out of 5 stars Almost Perfect 3 Jun 2004
Format:Audio CD
This album collects together out-takes and left overs from John Mayalls time at Decca. As such it has some pretty standard stuff along with some blinders, because the ratio is about 75/25 to the good stuff, this is why it doesn't deserve five stars. There's no Eric Clapton on here, but you do get eight tracks with Peter Green and they are amazing. The Green numbers range from delicate through to heavy, and at each level Green shows his mastery of the guitar and the genre. For those eight songs alone its worth its price, if you like the rest then even better.

5.0 out of 5 stars Thru The Years 2 Sep 2013
Format:Audio CD
This CD contains some fantastic John Mayall songs that are not so well known. Amongst my favourites are Crocodile Walk, My Baby Is Sweeter and two tracks that feature Peter Green - Curly and Missing You.
The 2nd half of the CD feature some out-takes that Peter Green played on. They are all great blues songs, the standard John Mayall maintained throughout the 1960s and 1970s is stunning. This CD is mostly from 1965 to 1967, mostly singles, B-Sides and songs that did not make official albums. This is one of my favourite Mayall albums that I often play and continue to enjoy.
