wow! this book my sister chris tuck wrote about us her siblings and our true story of daily life encounters which was all very sad and hard to cope with at time.Looking back and reading what we had been through makes me angry and upset when thinking about the abuse and emotional rollercoaster we were on . we had our childhood taken from us we had to become little adults to survive. we were hard on the outside but sad and lonley children on the inside. we were crying for attention but know one came to help. so this book has helped the 4 of us to believe that life is for living and to help raise more awareness to help others who are frightened and miserable to come out and speak to others . This book has so many postives to come out of the bad negatives we endured in our young childhoods. but i would to thank my sister for putiing this book togeather she been inspirational to us especially my little sister and we can stop this abuse as much as we can.

We are the surviors of Abuse.

This book is heart wrenchingly sad, the story of very young children being pushed from pillar to post - not only physically but emotionally too. Untold horrors going on behind closed doors by the very adults who were supposed to love, support, care, encourage her and her siblings to blossom in to their adulthoods. The book highlights the numerous times these children were let down by the system, by the schools, neighbours, doctors and the very people who were supposed to raise them.

The book is accessable to all, its inclusive and factual. This book is aimed at all readers, not necessarily those looking for a complicated, research based, referenced book.

Chris Tuck has beared her soul, spoken about the pain and horrific experiences of her past. She states the facts in simple terms, share the most painful memories and dredges up the most awful memories in order to raise awareness of child abuse.

I look forward to seeing more from this lady.

A true inspirational account of what Chris and her siblings endured. She has come out the other end stronger and safer. Thank you for sharing your life albeit a traumatic event. There are so many suffers out there who cannot or are afraid to have a voice. Young old all denominations that this is happening to. Let's all open our eyes alittle wider and help where we can. For those of you that cannot speak out, you can and you must to stop this unacceptable behaviour amongst the worse type of manhood there is. Be true to yourself as Chris says and make a difference. Make a stronger safer environment for children for the future. It's closer to home than you think and statistically proven it happens to one in four. Help the weak and vulnerable who were once strong positive individuals, help them find that safety net again to live the rest of their lives in peace and to come forward.

I don't usually write reviews of anything, however this book was so exceptional I just had to. I downloaded this and finished it before I could put it down.
What an amazing and heart-wrenching story told in a no-nonsense way. The book was straight to the point and had me hooked from beginning to end.
Brilliant, although a very sad read but what I loved was the amount of positivity that oozes from this book at the end and it gave the message that no matter how tough things are it's us as individuals that make the future for ourselves.

As a FitPro I've known of Chris for some time however I had no idea what a traumatic childhood she had experienced with her siblings. To think Chris could survive such awful abuse and still grow into the amazing lady she is today, dedicating her time to her selflessly helping others is remarkable. I found this book a heartbreaking read (especially as a Mother), however I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it. The book highlights life from a survivor of abuse perspective and makes you appreciate the things in life that we can take for granted.

I found this book really sad, children should never be treated this way. Chris has written this book from her heart, and I felt I was almost there with her. By writing this book she is making the heinous crime more public, and hopefully adults will listen. Chris has developed into an amazing, awesome lady, who is determined to stop other children from going through what she and her siblings did.I am fortunate to have met Chris, and she is one very gutsy lady, who never gives up.

Chris tells it how it is, it ain't pretty, but it's heartwarming how she tells of how she has not just survived, but thrived inspite of such a traumatic childhood. As a school teacher Chris has generously given her time to tell her story in person to hundreds of local teens. She really opened my eyes to both the prevalence and the effects of childhood poverty. Undramatic tone shows Chris's genuine wish to help,
