"'Looking through the eyes of a child is not a twee, cosy or easy experience. It can be unsettling, uncomfortable, edgy...' - from the Introduction" --from the Introduction

Product Description

"Through the Eyes of a Child" considers key theological themes from one of the most neglected of perspectives - that of children. Honouring Jesus' command to place the child at the centre, theologians, psychologists and educationalists take us from our comfort zones to look afresh at some of the most grave, difficult and beautiful topics in Christian theology. Challenging conventional readings of theology, this landmark work will fascinate and challenge in equal measure anyone who cares about children and their place in the world and the church.

This is a significant collection of essays by academics and practitioners in the relatively new field of child theology, issued to celebrate the thirtieth anniversary of the United Nations' Year of the Child in 1979. Anyone interested in the spiritual life of children will find something profound in here. The book includes a resource list, references for books quoted, a good general index, and an index of biblical references.

This is a very thought provoking book. I had to read it slowly.
The pracical exercises at the end of each chapter are really useful. It means you have to stop and let everything sink in before going on to the next chapter.
Excellent book
