Crimson Cty where there is tenative peace between the species of warewolf, vampire and human.

Mika is a half demon half human who is on secret mission for the demon council, to find a demon killer named Connor McCabe. What she has not told the council is that he is her mate. McCabe hates his demon half, he believes his mother was raped by his father, and tries to surpress all his demon side. Mika tries to protect McCabe whilst also working behind his back to find the spell in his possesion that will release dark demons into crimson city. Mika and McCabe must survive assasination attempts whilst leaning to trust and accept each other with Mika also trying to get McCabe to accept his demon half.

This is a good book that I would recommend to all who love supernatural romances. Patti O'Shea delivers again.

Surprisingly good... 25 Oct 2008

I listen to these as audio books while I'm at the gym, and this was a really good listen. The heroine is a carnal little soul, so there is a fair amount of sexy teasing and sex, and while sex scenes can be very cheesy when read out loud, these work fine.
I found Mika an annoying little so'n'so to start, but then realised she's meant to be, and she does tone down as the book gets going. Good story, with a tidy, but not all ends tied ending. Worth reading. The first book in this series is by far the weakest. This one, like its predecessor by Marjorie Liu, is good. I'll be sticking with the series a while longer.
