Book Description

What would you give to discuss HBO's Game of Thrones with an intensely interested fan? With a writer who poses fascinating questions, who sheds new light on events critical to the story?

For the price of a candy bar, you can enjoy Pearson Moore's 15,000 word (60 page) introduction to the HBO series Game of Thrones. The introduction contains Moore's intriguing, detailed analysis of the direwolves scene of Episode One, as well as his engrossing development of the thesis of Game of Thrones. Applying the unrelenting analytical intensity that has made Moore's companion books required reading for any serious fan of television drama, this short book is the perfect introduction to Moore's thought on the series.

This short volume contains the four introductory essays extracted from Moore's larger work, Game of Thrones Season One Essays. Readers who have already purchased the more comprehensive book may wish to purchase Game of Thrones Season Two Essays. While many readers of George Martin's novels may enjoy Moore's take on the HBO series, these fans are cautioned that Moore addresses only the television series and not the characters or situations from the novels.

Thrones Questions and Comments will expand and strengthen your appreciation of a truly remarkable television creation, praised almost universally as the greatest fantasy series ever brought to the small screen. With Moore's companion book in hand you will discover for yourself new questions, new comments, and new excitement—all for the price of a candy bar. The direwolves await!

Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Pearson Moore presents an excellent introduction to HBO's adaptation of George R. R. Martin's epic first novel A Dame of Thrones. He begins by dissecting all the implication of the crucial direwolf scene and continues discussing the role outsiders and "grotesque" characters play in the telling of this rich and complex tale. Read this and the three companion essay collections, along with Season One Essays and Season Two Essays and you will have a much clearer and deeper understanding of the story.
