This is the story of three women and their interwoven lives. Dee, Lottie and Esther tell their own stories, parts of the story of woman in the 20th century. Their stories, and the stories of the women they know and love, are of family, class, race, and most importantly strength.

I felt inspired by this book. It is sincerely and truthfully written, from the heart, and yet it does not need to resort to sentimentality.

Caeia March knows the truth about women, about working class women, and about working class women who love women. She expresses that truth in a powerful way, which is thought provoking and at once a joy to read.

A yarn I couldn't put down.
