Up until now, Roger Lambert's films have only been available on separate VHS videos, released way back in the 1990s. Now, for the very first time, all three films are presented on this Limited Edition DVD, complete and fully remastered. In "I Want To Be Famous" (1976, 40 min) Steve, a lonely introverted boy, retreats from a hostile social environment into a private, often violent, fantasy world - a world he shares with his best friend and fellow loner Stuart - and through one golden afternoon the two boys re-affirm their friendship. In "Follow You, Follow Me" (1979, 33 min), Joseph and Peter have a bond with each other far stronger than any relationship they form with the opposite sex, a bond which is tested by the reactions of their families and peers. In "A Seaside Story" (1986, 27 min) two lads go on a holiday to the coast, but with quite different ideas about what they want from their break. In each of these films Lambert explores the complex emotions of boys in their relationships with each other. The films are presented in their original 4:3 aspect ratio. Accolades for 'Follow You Follow Me': Chicago International Film Festival (1979) Certificate of Merit. Citation. 'The Jury of the Chicago International Film Festival certifies that this exceptional production is of superior quality'. London Film Festival 1979: Citation 'Follow You Follow Me was selected as an outstanding film of the year for presentation at the London Film Festival'. Neither Chicago or London were Gay film festivals. The film competed in general competition. Certificate of Participation: Melbourne Film Festival. (The film got a standing ovation at Melbourne).

After viewing these I wish that Roger Lambert was still in the moving making business.instead of being a deer biologist. I loved all three of the shorts on this DVD.Published 21 months ago by Jim T.
