This book has been such a hit with our 5 year old son. We all loved reading it - even when we read it for the 8th or 9th time. Each story is gentle and yet informative about which ever animal is the star of the story. It assumes that all people are nice to animals and it discusses 'growing up' in a really accessible way. Highly recommend it. She also has a nice sense of humour so we have all had a chuckle.

Love these stories

My co-teacher and I read these stories to our 1st-3rd grade Montessori class. The students love them. They especially love that there are sentences and phrases that are repeated in each chapter of a particular story, so they can say the words along with us when we get to those parts. The stories are charming, especially "The Owl Who Was Afraid of the Dark." I can't wait to read them to my daughter when she's old enough!
