3.0 out of 5 stars A bit better than you might expect, 17 Jul 2008

"Threats of the galaxy"? More like "Miscellaneous NPCs of the galaxy", including medics, bureaucrats, R5 droids, gonk droids, alongside the more threatening stuff like rancors, krayt dragons, battle droids, and sith lords. NPCs (Non Playable Characters, though some of the droids are explicitly listed as "can be played as droid heroes") are basically all there is, with the exception of a very small number of vehicles, feats and equipment listed with relevant character types (eg, a swoop with a swoop ganger).

I haven't tried any of the NPCs in a campaign, but there is a good selection in there (most of them with a little illustrative picture), and there are a few specific NPCs (as opposed to types) included who might be desireable to include in a game - for example Commander Cody, Talon Karrde and Darth Bane. The quality is completely in keeping with the main "Star Wars RPG Saga Edition" rulebook, though that should be no surprise.

However, in the end, if you have SWRPG:SE and want more NPCs then this is worth buying; otherwise it's not.
