A supercute book... --Grazia Daily

Threads is the next Princess Diaries - only hotter.... --The Times

A magical tale about four girls and their amazing adventure with fashion. --Bliss Magazine

It's brilliant and important ... Even if you're not interested in fashion (and I'm not), you'll enjoy this book. And if you're a big fan of cheap fashion, you should definitely read it - it may give you something to think about. --Chicklish

Threads is an absolutely great read; a real page turner where you just want to know what happens next. The descriptions are fabulous and the character's voices are so clear. I maybe slightly biased, but I got this excellent book from Amazon yesterday and had read the whole thing by 9am today. Get it for your sisters, daughters, nieces and your mum. But don't be suprised if the boys want to sneak a read too as Harry and Henry are great characters too!

By Dr. Nicholas P. G. Davies VINE™ VOICE
Format:Paperback|Amazon Vine™ Review (What's this?)
I ordered this one from Amazon Vine by accident. I soon realised I wasn't its intended audience. But being a good GP if I don't know what to do about something I usually know someone else who does. In this case my practice nurse's 9 year old daughter, Mollie, came to my help. Here's her review:-

"Thank you for giving me the book Threads.

I am 9 years old. I thought Threads was very good. The story is exciting and interesting. It is about three girls who I think are older than me because I think they are in year 9. Jenny gets to play a part in a Hollywood movie, and I think that would be so cool. I think that other girls would love to read this book."

So we have a strong positive recommendation for it from one of its initial readers.

Threads is an outstanding debut novel for intelligent girl readers. As well as being a book about fashion it is also a book about friendship and the joys and pitfalls in the lives of three teenage girls living in London. The first of a new series, Threads was a joy to read and it manages to pack a lot in to a relatively short number of pages. After reading it I felt like I really knew the three main characters, Nonie, Edie and Jenny and really cared about what happened to them. I await the second installment of their incredible journey with great anticipation!
