Product Description
A vet in Australia has isolated the mite that causes intense itching and discomfort in dogs. The vet says that the ear mite has transferred itself to body scurf. It is minute and very mobile, often it cannot be detected in skin scrapings. This mite can be responsible for:
· Ear canker
· Anus itching
· Itchy paws
These symptoms are very distressing to an animal and often difficult to treat. Thornit has been regularly used by the show fraternity for many years. A simple formula developed by Mr Watchman in 1907. The base of the formula, Iodoform, was used in early dentistry
There are no antibiotics in Thornit and so it can be used in perfect safety
Always follow the instructions for use.

This product worked a treat as my dog had both itchy ears and paws. Simple enough to apply to his ears and cleared up the problem after about a week. To apply to his paws was a different matter. Each time i applied it, he licked it off. In the end, i put some of the powder into some old socks and used celotape, to attach them. This also seemed to work.
No complaints with the product, as it did what it would said it would. At the time, i thought it was a bit expensive, however, proved to be far cheaper, than a couple of visits to the vet, and the costs i would have had to pay.

I have been using this product for many years now on my Newfoundlands and would not be without it. A pinch in each ear every week keeps them healthy and stops the dreaded ear mites. It has a lovely clean smell as well. No more buying liquid ear cleaner from the Vets which I didn't find all that successful anyway. I always recommend Thornit to all my doggie friends.

I had tried to treat my cat's ear mites with drops bought from the local pet store. He hated being treated with them and it was a really struggle to hold him down and still - I've got the scratch marks to prove it. After treatment with the drops he would be shaking and scratching his ears even more.
Thornit causes him almost no distress at all, in fact after the second day, he was happy to lie on his side without me having to force him to stay still! It's day three and no head shaking or constant scratching. A great relief. A great product. And a little goes a very long way.
