Until very recently, electric bikes were little more than toys - the New Range of Bikes from Thompsons has changed that.
The New Euro Classic Features a powerful motor that will propel you to speeds of up to 15mph (as high as you are legally allowed in the UK) and a battery that offers a range of in excess 20km, the Euro CLassic makes transportation on an electric bike a fun, affordable and practical option.
The bike can be used as a standard bike and offers all the features of a premium bike. The Euro Classic can be used simply as a traditional 'pedal' bike without any problems, however it also features two other modes:
Pedal Assist
Assist mode will kick in the power as you start pedalling and add extra power to each cycle, propelling you faster and with less effort.
Throttle Control
Fully powered will take you from stationary to cruising speed at the flick of a wrist with absolutely zero leg movement.
Complete with battery charger. The battery can be removed from the bike for ease of charging inside you house.
Please note that the front basket and rear lockable box are optional extras and not included with this bike.
Please note that this is not a motor cycle and you will be required to pedal as well during steep hills. Distances travelled via battery power will vary in accordance with the rider weight, battery capacity, hills, road conditions, use of built in lights, weather etc.
Please note, that for ease of shipping, the bike will require some self assembly. Handlebars, front wheel and pedals.

Due to my advancing years,my trusty old gents push bike is becoming dificult to mount and dismount. The step-through frame is much easier and safer.
This Thompsons Euro Classic electric bike is truly amazing - It arrived on time and it does need a little mechanical understanding to assemble (took me
about an hour)..
I left the battery on charge over-night to fully charge then set out for a test run. I was amazed that it was so easy to ride - and seemed quite fast.
True,you need to help it up the hills a bit to avoid overloading the motor - but it is great fun to ride and I wish I had bought it years ago.
The quality and value for money is un-surpassed and I would recommend this Thompson product to anyone considering an electric bike. The standard of finish
is superb,the brakes are very effective and smooth,the lights,front suspension etc are all first class and it has no nasty de-railer gears, making it very
easy to handle. The bike seems a little heavy to start with,but it is well balanced and you very soon get the hang of it. All in all - SUPERB !

I would have given this product five stars had it not arrived without any printed assembly instructions. As I had a good set of tools and some mechanical experience I was able, by deduction, to work out what should go where. Someone without either would find it a struggle. As it is, the bike is excellent value for money; the build quality top notch, and the performance brilliant. My first ride after charging the battery overnight was a round trip of 7 miles, plus an evening run of 3 miles to test the lights. The ten mile total had reduced the battery level to three reds - four when fully charged - so there was ample in hand for use next day. On the debit side, the bike is fairly heavy, but perhaps they all are. A plus in this respect is the foot-operated retractable stand, which is an absolute boon when when parking. All in all, a very handy addition to my personal campaign to cut down on the cost of petrol and CO2 emission. Alan

The Thompson euro-classic 2,is a treat to ride.I have had mine a week,should of got it years before.Everything works,electric lights and horn.Easy to charge and cheap per mile.This is great value for money.It is heavier than a normal bike,but is smart andworks well.Mine arrived early and good after sales.All in all its a great product.
