Ned is an old steam shovel. He means well, but can sometimes be clumsy. He once nearly caused a terrible accident by knocking out the keystone of a bridge when Thomas was due to cross with a goods train! Luckily, Jack managed to save the day, supporting the bridge until Thomas went over! A wonderful way to encourage roleplay and a great addtion to your Take Along Thomas & Friends collection!

This is Ned, one of the newer additions to the Thomas line of toys and storylines. There are quite a few of "Miss Jenny's" construction team and it is nice that they are expanding so as not to exclusivly focus on trains as they are running out of new ones to make up :)
My son loves these, there are trucks, tractors, bulldozer, all make a nice addition to any child's collection and they will have great fun playing with these.
Ned is easily washed if played with in the mud and doesn't rust when played in the bath with, all in all a good quality toy and a nice price for pocket money or as a treat.

The value in this toy is the detail and construction -- should last through many children who love Thomas the Tank; this is the diecast model since it does not come in the wooden models which I collect for my grandsons. But this model fits in well and is loved by both grandsons.

My five year old loves all things Thomas. I like the take along Thomas line because it is smaller, cheaper, very durable. Highly recommend all take along Thomas.
