If Thomas is an educating show then why are these episode filled with bad morals? And these are really for 'Wonky Whistle' and 'Kevin The Steamie'.
- Wonky Whistle: Thomas puffed away with workmen on his boiler while and earlier they were working on his whistle while Thomas was running hot. And there is one van filled with animals were they can get injured.
- Kevin The Steamie: Kevin races around the Steamworks throughout the whole episode bashing oil drums, which can cause injuries to the workmen or worse!
The other episodes 'Up, Up and Away' and 'Emily and Dash' I find really unrealistic, why on earth would Thomas and Percy haul one flatbed with a air-filled balloon, which is a light load for one engine and also that balloon can pop with the hot cinders and ashes, not referencing Thomas here.
But I only bought this DVD back in March because of the wonderful CGI animation from Nitrogen and the special features, particularly 'Down at The Station', these segments shows real steam engines from a real heritage railway in the UK with the people working behind the railway, which is what today's Thomas is really missing out on. Nowadays, its the engines who control themselves and the railway without a driver, fireman, guard, stationmaster and so on. The only humans we see nowadays on Thomas is The Fat Controller, the Duke and Duchess of Boxford and inspectors, if they have an episode. Its rare to see anyone of the railway staff in CGI episode, there have been some in some episodes, but not in every episode.
But the two pointless and bad moralistic episodes from this DVD are not a firm favourite and the other two are not that great as well. I guess Thomas fans from the target range will enjoy this though with the animation, but still, the stories from this DVD are bad, but the special features will entertain them more.
