Introducing a 2-in-1 Take-n-Play playset featuring the Island of Sodor and Misty Island from the new Thomas and Friends DVD--Misty Island Rescue. Now you can relieve the excitement and bring Thomas back to Sodor from Misty Island. One side of the playset features Misty Island, complete with dark brown track and two levels of play. Use the logging crane to break through the logs to reveal a tunnel or pick up the logs. Place Thomas on the top level and press the button to activate Shake-Shake Bridge. Thomas will rattle and shake over the bridge and bust through the tunnel to Sodor. The Island of Sodor side is complete with standard silver track. A lever reveals hidden tunnel back to Misty Island. The center post on the bridge also double as the carry handle and the entire set folds up for easy storage. Comes with diecast Thomas engine. Playset connects to other Take-n-Play playsets and is compatible with all Take-n-Play engines and vehicles.

I bought this for Christmas for my son who has always loved Thomas.
It is easy to set up. Doesn't take up much room to play with and is portable.
We have the DVD & Book of 'Misty Island Rescue' and so knew who the main characters were
1. Thomas (of course_
2. Bash
3. Dash
4. Ferdinand
5. Captain (boat)
We have every die-cast Thomas train imaginable, wouldn't you thought that the Manufacturers would have made sure that the new characters where on sale in die-cast at the time of release. I know we would have bought them. Being the soft touch I am.
Bash, Dash and & Ferdinand are available in the wooden version not metal so we've frustratingly had to buy them. Even though poor Ferdinand has to jump over the 'Shake, Shake' bridge as he's too tall too fit through it. Believe me Harvey has tried. Nearly de-whistling Ferdinand in an attempt to squeeze him through. We've had to change the story to accommodate Ferdinands growth spurt!
All in all Harvey loves the set and his rather large 'Misty Island Friends'

An ideal gift for a 'Thomas' fan. Helps if they already have some of the die-cast trains as only a Thomas comes with it. I got the DVD as well so my grandson would get into Misty Island quickly - and he did. Hours of real lying on the floor play. And portable, too!

This has been our third Thomas Take n Play playset purchase and I have to say that, although it is the most expensive, it is also the best. It follows the Misty Island Rescue film in that there is a shake shake bridge and tunnels and secret passage. This has literally been played with for hours each day since we got it. To avoid disappointment it should be noted that the blue 'water' section does not actually have a blue piece, we quickly and easily rectified this with a piece of blue cardboard cut out in a circle and set underneath that section! A perfect place for Captain. I would definitely recommend this playset for all Thomas fans, and our experience is that the Take N Play sets are played wiith an awful lot more than the larger trackmaster sets as I think my 3 year old prefers the smaller pieces to play with, I think he finds them more manageable. It is also fantastic that all of the take n play stuff fits together - in fact our living room should be re-named The Island of Sodor!!

GREAT FUN
My youngest boy has great fun with this toy. From the word go he loved it. He is a big Thomas fan so this was right up his street.
