After trawling the internet and reading endless reviews on travel solutions for toddlers that are too big for travel cots but too small for single beds, we decided to try a readybed. This has been a fantastic purchase for my 19 month old. He loves to toddle over to his Thomas bed and happily snuggles under the blanket.
This bed is suitable from age 18 months (some other versions are age 3+).
It comes with a pump and takes about 8 mins to inflate (but will take longer if your toddler like mine wants to help with this fun game). It is an air bed and as such is a great novelty solution for a short holiday. This design is better than the older readybed designs that used to have built in air pillows (which were very uncomfortable). The whole fabric outer can be removed and washed in the machine making it very easy to keep clean. It deflates quickly and rolls up easily into a handy sleeping bag sized bag that comes with it.
Overall, this is a great purchase. Very happy toddler = happy parents.

I bought this as my son went through a stage of coming in to our room at night. I cannot sleep with his legs sticking in my back. So i got this and kept it under our bed and whip it out when he wanders in during the night. He goes straight to sleep in it and mummy and daddy have been able to enjoy a good nights sleep.
Also is good for his day time naps when at his nannas.
My son is a huge fan and the lovely pictures of thomas have made him lile this even more.
I would recommend as its handy to have around whenever your little one needs somewhere familiar (other than their bed) to sleep.

Bought this travel bed for my three year old and he absolutely loves it to bits and wants to sleep in it all of the time! I think, like all inflatable products, if you abuse it by over-inflating it or jumping on it, like some children may, then it probably won't last too long. However, I have used it about 6 times now with no deflation issues at all. The pump is laughable and i'm not sure that I could blow up a balloon with it! Get a decent high volume hand/foot pump or an electric pump and its up very quickly. The cover is very thin - fine for summer, but need an extra blanket otherwise.

I knew it was a gamble getting this bed. We had only just transferred our little boy from cot to bed and got this for when he stays at his grandparents and when we go away. But, one bad night not wanting to sleep in it at his grandparents to 3 nights away with his parents and we couldn't get him out of it. He loved the fact that it was Thomas, and I think he just needed to get used to how close it is to the floor. If we decide to go camping at any point it will be perfect. It's easy to pump up and doesn't take long, and it stays up for a good length of time, night 3 we jump topped it up a little.

Very cute little bed. My son (aged 2) loves it. When it arrived and we inflated it to check it was ok, he spent most of the day taking different toys into the bed with him and playing in there!
