We bought this product for our son at christmas. The first one didn't work and we had a very disappointed two yr old on our hands. Unable to return the item to where we purchased it originally we contacted the company direct. They agreed to replace the product, second one received that too was faulty. We contacted the company again and another replacement was sent. Third time lucky. The clock is working well, our two yr old adores it and loves putting Thomas to sleep at night. Overall, my advice is contact the company direct if you are having problems, details on the box. Worth the money when you get one that works!

This product is excellent. I'm still laughing at another review though - Of course your 3 year old should be able to change the time, it's called Education. Put it out of reach on a bedside table for actual use but check the time if playing is a problem. The clock is educational and provides a welcome sleep in when it becomes a game to stay in bed until it is showing the right time!

Better than the 'Bunny' clock on the market which is very noisy, this product is a must for all Thomas fans, parents that want to teach their kids the time and have a full mornings sleep.

No screwdriver required, thankfully!!

My friend, whose own son was a 5 a.m. awakener, recommended this, and having bought it, I can genuinely say that it's brilliant. We'd just moved and our 2 year old, who has always been an early waker anyway (6 a.m. being his usual start time) started waking even earlier. The clock was going to be a Christmas present but came out early in desperation! My son loved the clock instantly, but hated the first morning when he was told he had to stay in bed until Thomas woke up. We got lots of screams that morning. However, after that one day he understood what was expected of him and now, if he wakes before Thomas, he plays in his bed until Thomas wakes, whereupon we hear a little voice saying "Mummy, Daddy, Thomas awake!". Previous warnings of children being able to alter the time are true (children are human beings after all, not animals) but are easily solved by keeping the clock out of their reach when it's bedtime. The fact that the alarm is so easy to change is also good for parents too, as you can sneakily set it to go off later at weekends, and 2 year olds are too young to tell the time and notice!!! One thing did occur to me: my son might particularly pay attention to this clock because it is Thomas, and he adores anything to do with Thomas. So if you're looking for a clock that does a similar thing, perhaps looking for one that is a favourite character would be the best idea.

Excellent. My 2 and a half year old son quickly cottoned on to the idea of staying in bed until Thomas wakes up. There is then a great deal of excitement and requests for me to come and see the awoken Thomas, bless.

My son loves thomas so this was great thing for him. but what other reviews have said is very true. i was willing to give it a go but the light is strong for couple weeks then batteries go very weak. the time just stops on its own so thomas doesn't wake up. and the clock is only 12 hour one so if your child sleeps for more than 12 hours which ours sometimes do the thomas wakes them up when he wakes up! just going to investigate the night light torch.

My son, now 3 has never been a good sleeper and used to wake up every morning at around 5-6am without fail. No matter what time we put him down at night or the reasoning, bribery or threat in the morning he would come bounding through to our room between 5 and 6 full of energy ready to play. Now, with this he always stays in his bed until 'thomas wakes up!'. He does on occasion wake up a little before thomas does (we can hear him babbling away to himself!) but he knows to stay in his room. I cannot tell you what a difference it has made to all of us - epecially now we have another baby and REALLY need that extra time in the morning. I cannot recommend this enough!

I love this product and so does my 3 year old son! After reading the other reviews on here, I wasn't sure what to expect from the clock but we have found it to do exactly what it is supposed to do. My son waits for Thomas to 'wake up' before getting out of bed, therefore not getting up too early. It's kept on top of his wardrobe to stop fingers fiddling with it, but he switches it on at bedtime and watches him 'go to sleep' and says goodnight to him. I haven't used the light as he has a bedtime light anyway and I suspect that using the light would cause the batteries to wear out considerably sooner. However, we have not replaced the batteries yet and Thomas is still going strong. He's got a lovely smiling face and the clock itself is nice and sturdy. I recommend this product and I'm sure my son would too. A must for early risers and Thomas fans alike.

I gave this Thomas Clock to my Nephew, he absolutely loves it. It was his 4th Birthday and wow what a difference it has made to bedtimes & getting out of bed times!!!

Ok so he still wakes up early but he now lies in bed waiting for Thomas to 'wake up' lol. He plays with it throughout the day but he knows not to touch it when Mummy or Daddy have set it at night time but then this is how it should be. The clock is meant for age 3+ not for 2 year olds so the previous comments really are a little unfair IMO.

A great product, I just wish these were available to us when our Son was little, it would have been perfect!!!

I would definately recommend this product to any parent of children over 3 years of age. My Nephews clock is still working 6 months on & is still being used every day. ;o)
