Product Description

Manufacturer's Description

The Thomas Go Glow light is a night light and torch in one. The Night light glows with a soft soothing light. Lift the cone and it becomes a handy torch. Supplied with a low voltage transformer for recharging. Charging instructions supplied. Suitable for ages 12 months and over.

Product Description

The Thomas & Friends Go Glow Lights provides the security of a night light from bedtime until morning. The top section can be removed from the base, so it can be picked up and carried around to provide torchlight - perfect for little ones who occasionally wander in the night or need to get up to visit the loo! When night time excursions are done, the torch is simply placed back in the Go Glow base, reactivating the night light which will glow gently and reassuringly by your child's bedside, banishing night time fears for good. The Go Glow is fully re-chargeable so no need for batteries! Recommended For Ages 12 Months Plus

5.0 out of 5 stars Night light 15 Sep 2009
Durability: 4.0 out of 5 stars    Educational: 3.0 out of 5 stars    Fun: 5.0 out of 5 stars
I bought this night light for my son for his 3rd birthday and he absolutely loves it, its really pretty with thomas on 1 side and james on the other. It helps my son go to sleep without the light on or TV. He plays with the torch but puts it back in its base to fall asleep to, the glow it gives off is really subtle so it doesnt keep him awake.

5.0 out of 5 stars replacement 12 July 2010
Durability: 5.0 out of 5 stars    Educational: 3.0 out of 5 stars    Fun: 5.0 out of 5 stars
This was a replacement, the original one decided it would no longer charge having had it about 9 months, it had worked absolutely fine up until then, my 3 year old loves it and has it on every night. Amazon were fantastic I emailed them late one night saying it was broken and the next morning I received a reply with a pre paid lable to return the broken one and saying they had ordered a replacement. The replacement took about a week but my son was quite happy to wait as he understood it was broken but a new one was coming, he borrowed grandads torch until it arrived. Fingers crossed no problems with this one as of yet but things do break so the speedy replacement was much appreciated.

5.0 out of 5 stars Kids night fun 18 Jan 2011
Durability: 5.0 out of 5 stars    Educational: 5.0 out of 5 stars    Fun: 5.0 out of 5 stars
My two kids always gave me trouble to sleep at night, and i'd to sleep with them in the same bed for over 3years. Since i bought these nightlights, (i bought thomas and a princess one), they let me go to my bedroom with a smile on their face! Finally i can sleep all night long with no more crying and sneaking out in the middle on the night to mummy's bed.
In the first night, i let them play in the house with all the lights off, they loved it! And let me tell you that i was very skeptical to the resistence of the lights, but they already drop it, and even trough it to the floor, so i must say that it was my best investment since they've born!

5.0 out of 5 stars My 3 year old loves it 15 Aug 2010

Bought this for my Thomas mad 3 year old when we moved him into a bigger bedroom and he loves it. He likes to have the torch in bed with him to look at books once we have said goodnight and he pops it back in the stand when he's ready to go to sleep. We leave it charging in the day and on all night and have had no problems with it in fact it's much better than cheap torches we have bought for him previously that seem to go through a battery a day when there's a toddler constantly turning them on and off. Quite sturdy and still working fine after 3 months of little boy bashing.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic & long lasting 30 Jun 2012
Durability: 5.0 out of 5 stars    Educational: 3.0 out of 5 stars    Fun: 5.0 out of 5 stars
I bought one of these for my son when he was about 2 years old. It has given a warm, reassuring glow for just over three years, but sadly doesn't seem to fully charge any more. It has been robust, portable and with it's cute, simple pictures it would go with any colour scheme.
I'm now looking at a replacement for him, he's now 5 and has a little sister who has a pink Disney Princesses one!
It's looking like a Spiderman projector go glow light will be the next choice, I only hope it lasts as well!

4.0 out of 5 stars Fun and functional for a child's room 4 Dec 2011

The torch itself has Thomas on one side and James on the other and a simple push button switch. It's bulb is an led so it lasts much longer than a standard incandescent bulb and can withstand the odd knock you could expect with a preschooler in charge if it! There are no batteries to replace, the torch charges up when it sits on the base (and the nightlight is switched off).

The base that you sit the torch on is plain blue and this is where the adapter plugs in. A little red led indicator light tells you when it is charging. The only niggle I have with it is sometimes the torch doesn't sit on the base properly first time, so although it looks like it is on, the red light doesn't come on and it is not charging. You just need to take it off and put it back on again and usually it's fine.

My 3 year old has had this nightlight/torch in his room for about 18 months. It has been used all night, every night since then and it is still going. The nightlight is not too bright but gives just enough light to be able to see your way, and the torch is just about bright enough to use when reading glow in the dark books or to light your child's way to the bathroom.

5.0 out of 5 stars MUCH LOVED AND STILL GOING STRONG A YEAR LATER 2 Dec 2011
Durability: 5.0 out of 5 stars    Educational: 5.0 out of 5 stars    Fun: 5.0 out of 5 stars
I strongly recommend this. My boy has the tyres off cars within hours of getting hold of them. He is not the gentlest. He has had this torch beside his bed for almost a year! It is used every night as a night light and also as a torch. It has been camping with us and is sooo loved! It looks good too. Santa did well! I gave it five stars. I rated it 5 for education as there wasn't an option to mark this irrelevant which it is. It's a torch and isn't meant to be educational!
