This is the first Thomas DVD for 2012, despite the Birthday Express release last week, that still counts as a 2011 DVD due to its six month pushback...
Despite this a regular Four episode series DVD i enjoyed this one better than The Birthday Express, With three unreleased episodes, (one was already featured on The Little Big Club, Collection 2 DVD), Being two from Series 14, and one from Series 13.
The Down at the Station segment this time shows us how a guard does his job on the railway line, these segments are brilliantly directed and narrated by Michael Angelis and are filmed on the Lakeside and Haverthwaite Railway and the Llangollen Railway.
Whist inbetween the stories Mr Perkins trys to get everything ready for the Knapford Band at teatime, but with the delay of two other engine drivers assisting him, he finds it hard to play as the band himself...
This also completes the list of Series 13 episodes released on DVD, but if you are an older fan and not fond of these 4-Episode DVDs with Mr Perkins, and would prefer a DVD value for money, wait for The Complete Series 13 DVD releasing on the13th February.
Over all, a good start for 2012, recommended to keep the younger Thomas fans entertained.
