I am the caretaker of the Gethsemane Prayer Garden in Syracuse, NY, an author/publisher of Christian books, and a computer software developer. Both gardening and writing are part-time jobs for me, but they are my heart-felt passion: to help others experience Jesus Christ in a most personal way and to grow in love.
My wife is Nancy, and I have two adult daughters, Laurel and Becky. I accepted Jesus as my Lord and Savior in 1989 at a Billy Graham Crusade.
My most recent book, "A Garden of Love", is distinctly different from my first two books. While my first books have been well received, they are more analytical in content: revealing the literary style called the "chiastic structure" from the book of Joshua, and uncovering one-hundred topics from the book of Proverbs. Few people have ever written about either of these, so I felt honored that the Lord was using me to explain His written word to His people.
In writing "A Garden of Love", I felt the Lord moving me from analysis into the heart and focusing on love. By applying a flowing poetic-like prose to both beautiful flowers and Scriptures, the result is one that touches the heart, particularly of women. My sense is that if I can help others feel and know the profound love and beauty that God created in flowers, they can then apply that to their own lives in the evidence of love.
Therefore, this has become my life verse: "What is important is faith expressing itself in love." (Galatians 5:6)
In the love of Jesus Christ,
