These are good products that work. I use them to reduce dampness in a convertible car which is kept outside, and which has a marked tendency to steam up on damp mornings. The pouches, of which I have two (out of the six in the pack supplied) on the back shelf, do not cure the problem altogether, but they do improve the situation significnatly. Dry weight of the pouches is around 280g, and I find that they typically weigh in at around 340/350g by the time I change them over, ie they absorb around 60/70g of water each, possibly a little more before the dessicant becomes saturated. I find that they normally take at least two days of storage on top of our boiler casing to return to 280g, so I alternate pairs of pouches, one pair in the car and one drying out.
Points to note are: 1) that the fabric surface through which the moisture is absorbed is fragile and easily damaged (which effectively writes off the pouch), and 2) that the velcro securing system supplied with the pouches is not good for all situations, partly because the adhesion of the velcro patches to the shiny underside of the pouches is poor and often not as good as velcro hooks to velcro loops adhesion, and in my car it's difficult to find a surface to which the velcro patch which remains in the car will adhere with any sort of tenacity!
Overall, I'm very happy with them, but I'd welcome an improved system for keeping them in place in the car!
