Although they were formed in Bologna, Italy in 1979,
there is a strong American character to much of
CHANGE smusic. Their sound was strongly influenced
by CHIC, while early singles featured vocals by LUTHER VANDROSS.
Vocals and additional recording for this album took place in New York City.
Originally conceived as a studio project, by the time of
their fourth album, THIS IS YOUR TIME, CHANGE had
evolved into an act with its own distinctive identity,
movingwith the times to bring itsDisco and R&B
influences into the 80s.
The title track of this rare 1983 set was yet another
Top 40 US R&B hit for the group. In addition, the album
features the single MAGICAL NIGHT and fan-favourite
tracksDON T WAIT ANOTHER NIGHT and YOU LL NEVER
REALIZE.

and expanded form, complete with extensive liner
notes that feature interviews along with added bonus

I bought this album in hope of expanding my Change collection and let me tell you it is a lovely addition. The tracks to look out for are as follows, "Magical Night, You'll Never Realize & Don't Wait Another Night"

I agree with the above reviewer, this record was so hard to get hold of when I was collecting the Change album's back in the 80's. I managed to get my hands on a second hand copy and have to say my favourite track is 'Angel' James 'Crabs' Robinson has a wonderful singing voice, very underated! I loved Vandross's vocals, this guy could match up to that standard with ease.

After the disappointing 'Sharing Your Love' Jacques Fred Petrus got his act together more successfully, producing a much tighter set, and acknowledged the changing scene of music. 'Got to Get Up' brings us nicely into the album and 'This is Your Time' carries on with a forceful vocal that encourages us to seize the moment. The delicate piano at the start of 'Angel' was a real spine tingler for me and the rest of the song lives up to that. 'Magical Night' keeps with the groove a la 'Searching'. It's the next two tracks that bring things right up to 1983. 'Stay N Fit' has a great Prince style tight rhythm with stabbing keyboards and busy stereo. 'Tell Me Why' has more of a Shalamar feel, and no less welcome. 'You'll Never Realize' is a fan favourite, and I can see why. Finally we have 'Don't Wait Another Night', the other single, rounds things off nicely.
Whilst not as good as the first two albums I'd give it a three and a half. None of the tracks fare as well but it is a big improvement on 'Sharing Your Love' and in 'Stay N Fit' a pointer to quite a radical 'Change' to the bands sound for the next album.
