Escape The Fate is out for blood.

On their self-titled third album, the Las Vegas quartet rips, ravages and rocks like never before. Due out November 2nd via the band's new home of DGC/Interscope Records, Escape The Fate explodes on impact from the very first chord until the final battering crescendo. "Massacre" flips like a switchblade from Bryan "Monte" ... Read more in Amazon's Escape the Fate Store

5.0 out of 5 stars With or without Ronnie, its still ETF 26 Jan 2009
By Michael
Format:Audio CD
Brilliant album, and as my title says With or without Ronnie, its still ETF. And if you like escape the fate you will like this.

True it is a little more mainstream than the first but does that make it worse??

Craig is the better singer and i think it works

The new single "something" shows off craigs brilliant voice and shows the talent of this band

4.0 out of 5 stars Great album, with some new surprises 19 Oct 2008
Format:Audio CD
Well, as many people know, Ronnie the old vocalist has been replaced with new vocalist Craig Mabbit who was formerly frontman for Blessthefall.
The 2 songs released on their myspace (the flood and this war is ours) are in my opinion probably the 2 best songs on the album.
Opening track 'we wont back down' really sets the pace and gets you tapping your foot to some familiar ETF style music with some aggressive guitar riffs and melodic soloing. Whereas tracks like 'Ashley', 'harder than you know' and 'it's just me' are totally different to what old ETF fans are used to.
This is a great album. People need to give it a chance and take a listen. The music is typical Escape The Fate, but Craig brings something new to the band. He makes it less 'hardcore screamo' and more 'punk metal' if that makes sense!
4/5 stars. But this could easily have been 5 if they spent a little longer on some of the songs, some of them seem a little rushed. Hope this review was helpful.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great album 30 Aug 2009
By Heather
Format:Audio CD|Verified Purchase
I think this is a great cd - although quite different to 'Dying is your latest fashion', it is just as good in my opinion, and most of the songs are incredibly catchy.

Craigs voice is very different to Ronnies, it sounds a lot cleaner, although I found Ronnies voice made ETF sound more unique and special, but Craig does have a great voice.

Overall - 5/5 in my opinion.

3.0 out of 5 stars Is this really Escape The Fate??? 13 Oct 2008
Format:Audio CD
This War Is Ours is a particular CD that I have been looking forward to all year, and now it has arrived...and what a difference.
Die-hard fans of ETF are probably going to be disappointed as this 2nd album is no where near as heavy as their debut and EP, and only about 4 of the 11 songs have screaming in them. Furthermore, the original lead singer Ronnie Radke is no longer in the band as he was arrested. The new frontman is former blessthefall singer Craig Mabbit.
If I had to describe the new singers voice, I'd have to say that it is 'squeaky clean'. Don't get me wrong, I love his voice, but it is different to Ronnie's. Craig is probably the better singer, but his high pitched singing voice compared to Ronnie's deeper tone makes Escape The Fates sound completely different. The two songs that maintain Escape The Fate's original sound (or at least something close to it) are 'the flood' and 'this war is ours'....The two songs that the band unveiled prior to this albums release. Personally, that annoyed me!!! The two songs I just mentioned are two hardhitting, fast paced belters of songs filled with awesome guitar work and solos accompanied by guttural sceaming and melodic singing. So naturally, when I heard these tracks (about a month before the release of this CD) I thought that the rest of the album was going to be like them. These two songs actually seem out of place on this album as the rest of the songs are pretty poppy and sound so completely different. And it was a bit disappointing because, I honestly thought that I was going to be blown away by this album, but franky, I wasn't.

Despite this, I found the album wasn't that bad.
