Format: Audio CD
dnb has always been a dance floor oriented genre. In the last few years this has meant music compressed to ridiculous levels, a lot of 'reeces' (distorted bass lines) and - some would say - the triumph of production technicality over musicality rendering much of the music unlistenable outside of a club setting.

Every so often though, a dnb album pops up that breaks the mold and is pleasurable to listen to on its own terms. This is such an album. The breaks are clean and crisp, programmed in interesting patterns, each track has its own personality. Whilst not as technical as a 'Modus Operandi' or a 'Black Science' (2 other listenable dnb LPs I rate highly) the mood is there, set by Breakage's tasteful choice of gritty samples. Highly recommended

one for serious Jungle heads. no gimmicks no silliness. deep basslines. crisp breaks.

2Cds one on a Dnb Vibe, the other on a slower, at times, dubstep-like tempo.
