Why did William I invaade England? Who cares? If you want to know where we came from, then listen and learn from this series. The Norman conquest seems so inevitable when told in this way. Without it we'd neveer have evlodedd iinto the people we are.

School always put me off history - but this has really fired my imagination and explained a lot about the background to the British nation and how it was put together. Really good listening.
