Im new to the author and was perusing new paperbacks to buy in supermarket, after sneaking a look at a couple of paragraphs I bought it on impulse, and found myself laughing out loud so often my 12 year old daughter couldnt wait for me to finish so she could read it too. Love the unusual storyline and the twists, great ending too, highly recommended, great fresh writing style - am buying her other books from Amazon!

I read this book in hospital, probebly not the best place to read it but i got through it in less then 2 days and enjoyed it throughly. it had me laughing out loud much to the displeasure of other patients resting and my poor tummy which was recovering from stiches! It is wrote in a similar way to sophie kinsella who i am also a fan of. the plot is very diffrent and i loved the main character, everything she did i know i would have done if i had been in her situation. this book could have so easily gone wrong had the author gone the obvious way with this book but instead she turned it upside down and made it the success it is! i will be ordering other books by this author now and hope they are just as good!

I saw this book and the title made me laugh so I decided to read it. Whilst the premise is probably a bit overdone (there has been a wave of dead protagonist books recently) it was different and enjoyable because the main character is witty, likable and perceptive and rather than being bitter and whiny about her predicament, she takes everything in her stride and actually grows as a person.. The characters are overall an assorted bunch and most will be able to relate to at least one of them. They are refreshingly human and believable and each had traits to love and hate.
Its not overly emotional and although there are some heart-felt moments, I found myself laughing out loud so many times. Although the ending is rather predictable in a sense and everyone gets a (sort of) happy ending, you end up wanting the characters to have a happy ending so its satisfying.
You could do much worse than this so if you fancy a light pick me up and a lot of laughs then I'd recommend this.
