Book Description

30 Sep 2009
This Little Piggy Got Divorced is a wry, politically incorrect, sometimes shocking but ultimately sympathetic handbook on divorce. This Little Piggy Got divorced says what everyone wants to say but feels they can't. The book features beautiful illustrations with witty, pithy and humourous commentary all wrapped up in a luxurious, linen-bound cover. Ultimately it is a celebration of survival, a life-giving breath of fresh air and hope in difficult times.

Whilst this book may seem tasteless to some, I think it is a pretty good swipe at divorce and a guide for how to cut through the proverbial to get to the other side with a smile! Divorce can be a distressing and difficult time but if tackled with a sense of humour it can be easier to get through. Put it like this - your sense of humour should be one thing you should make sure you don't lose in the settlement!
If you are still feeling particularly raw from a difficult or harrowing divorce then perhaps you should stay clear of this - at least for a while...on the other hand, if you have a good sense of humour or need your spirits lifted maybe this is just the thing for you!
Good for singles (as a warning), for the married, the divorced and newly single or for perople whi are in the in-between stages, this is a perfect little book, packed with humour, helpfulness and fun.
This little piggy liked this book, had a good laugh and would certainly read it again.

Amazon Vine™ Review (What's this?)
What do you buy a friend who is about to get divorced? This book. Divorce is rarely easy, and most books on the subject are hard to read and even harder to understand. It even looks good on the coffee table - but be careful it doesn't give your spouse ideas!! The sections are very funny especially the bit on the divorce party. While it won't take the place of a lawyer - or even the "Which? Guide to Divorce" - it could be a very effective ice-breaker to take round to your best friend when they realise that the illusion of their "happy" marriage has just dissolved into the reality called "bitter" divorce.
