At the time I thought that it would not be possible to produce another CD with such quality. Volume 2 however is not just as good, if anything its better. Why? well the content is stunning, full of quality recordings all part of the history of the Motown label.
Dancers won't be dissapointed with the likes of Jimmy Ruffin who smoothly steps you though "I gotta let you go" and Edwin Starr stomping into "My Weakness is you".
The balladeers among you will love Bobby Taylors "Oh I've Been Blessed" and "My Smiles a Frown Worn Upside Down" by Carolyn Crawford, from the pen of Smokey Robinson.
If your a northern fan then give your self a break from stacking the 45s and just let these 24 CD tracks work the old magic.
If your not into northen but enjoy mainstream Motown, you know the artists but don't recognise the tracks, then listen to this CD. If you dont get a buzz from Marivn Gaye's - "When I feel the need", you must of had a emotional transplant.
The only thing missing is Martha Reeves "No-one There" but maybe they are saving this for Volume 3 and another 24 gems from the vaults of Motown!
