1.0 out of 5 stars extraordinarily bad 14 May 2008
Format:Paperback
Smug and unrelentingly boring and twee : but also breathtaking - ie the bit where he takes his employers, GMTV, to task for ''humiliating'' him.
Their crime ? Making him stand in a certain position during a publicity shot of all the station's presenters. He ignores the fact that GMTV paid him half a million pounds odd, a year, to work for just eight hours a week on screen, with several months holiday thrown in as well . What kind of a man complains about bosses who pay him half a million pounds a year to work the equivalent of not much more than one day a week ? This book is - ironically - compulsory reading for anyone who wants to know what TV can do to the ego.

1.0 out of 5 stars Awful 17 May 2006
Format:Hardcover
This book is terrible. I have no inkling how Holmes manages to sound as irritating, pompous and egotistical on paper as he is in real life, but he somehow manages it. Avoid at all costs. If I could give zero stars I would.

AH WHAT A GREAT BOOK! WHAT YOU SEE IS WHAT YOU GET! VERY HUMOROUS MAN BUT DOESN'T SUFFER FOOLS. YES, GMTV WAS BLOODY CRAP WHEN HE LEFT (STILL IS!) I LAUGHED OUT LOUD IN SOME PARTS. THE HAIR WITH THE PRODUCT THAT WOULDN'T WASH OUT HAD ME IN HYSTERICS,,,,,WHAT A STAR. BRILLIANT BOOK. IF EAMONN READS THESE REVIEWS, PLEASE JUST STICK WITH A GOOD SHAMPOO. GREAT STUFF.

5.0 out of 5 stars Thoroughly enjoyed reading this book 7 Sep 2014
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Thoroughly enjoyed reading this book. Can only assume that those who give it 1 or 2 stars just don't like Eamonn at all so not sure why they would read his autobiography. Never knew he was such a hard-working man and comes across as a nice, kind family man. very funny in places especially the hair product problem and Alex Fergusson trying to find someone who knew the answer to a question when they were on "Millionaire".

2.0 out of 5 stars Incredibly arrogant 23 April 2014
By Hazel
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I thought Eamonn Holmes was quite a nice man until I read this. He's done himself no favours with this book at all. He comes across as incredibly arrogant, smug and self satisfied. Large parts of the book are about how wonderful he is and how he is right and everybody else is wrong in any situation where anybody disagrees with him. I don't recommend wasting your money on this at all unless you're a die hard fan.
