I really enjoyed this, it makes you re-live the ups & downs of the whole season, but especially 'that day'. I would thoroughly recommend it.

Really good look back at a momentous season at City, charting the peaks and (small) troughs in this most glorious of seasons.
Too often with fans, football reviews are biased one-eyed reports whereby everything the team does, on and off the pitch, is right and every one else is wrong. This book, however, is a refreshing move away from that. The author is obviously a mad blue, but is open and honest, seeing fault where it exists and giving praise in its turn. From the Tevez refusal to warm-up/play in Munich, through the Balotelli-is-the-devil phase of the season, Howard gives reasoned argument and opinion on all the major incidents in a year that changed City forever.
If, like me, you are a fellow light blue (actually if you are a fan of football), then this is a must read!

A proper fan's insight into how a wonderful season unfolded. I should declare possible bias in my review given that Howard is a personal friend so there's no way I'd give him 5 stars in case he becomes to big headed! Howard has a wonderful turn of phrase and always spots the interesting talking points left out of standard journos reports. His match reports put into words the sort of things you'd often quite like to discuss over a pint or six with your mates but would be accused of being a smartarse if you did. Looking back on a season often brings smile to my face when small forgotten incidents are brought to mind again. If you're a City fan you'll love this book and even if you're not but are a football fan of the ABU variety this is well worth a read.

A shoddy publication. There are so many mistakes it's unbelievable. This has never been proof read either by the author or the publishing company. Surely it is somebody's responsibility. It's embarrassing that a City fan can send out a book like this. If I could have given it no stars, I would have done.

I bought this after reading the 2012/13 season review, 'Missed Goals'. The author himself thinks the later work is the better of the two, and who am I to disagree?
This book covers a season that will always be remembered by City fans (and others), and is nicely prefaced by a summary of the FA Cup triumph, and, again, brings a smile to your lips as the events of 2011/12 are recalled.
One of the best City bloggers around, I really hope that a work to cover 2013/14 is in the pipeline.
All that's required is for City to do it justice.

The greatest season I have ever seen documented with wit, passion and genuine love for the football club that is Manchester City. If you are a city fan, you will want to read this. If you support any other club (well, any but one...) and want to see how proper City fans think and feel, you will want to read this.
