5.0 out of 5 stars A brilliant, crazy book 7 Nov 2003
By A Customer
This is a fabulous, albeit mad, book, and one of the funniest things I have read in a long time. The Diary gives instructions for each day of 2004, and that can range from the sweet, to the ridiculous, to the downright outrageous. Diary users are encouraged to rap, to collapse a currency (this of course must be done in unison with all other Diary readers, otherwise won't work....clear instructions are given), to recognize their psychopathic tendencies, to spend a day doing everything left-handed, to approach strangers on the street and ask them to fill out a short form about what first impression the Diary owner has made on them, etc. etc. If Diary owners would truly follow the instructions, their life would change substantially (pretending to be a secret agent for a day may not, I presume, go down well with the boss...). Brilliant stuff, thoroughly recommended!

5.0 out of 5 stars this diary will get you arrested 11 Nov 2003
how did these guys get away with this, and what are they on??? this book asks you to shoplift, do a runner, collapse the currency of Bangladesh (phone number of central bank provided), kill insects within its pages and more... (is this strictly legal?) What it is, is basically a diary that directs your life for a year, with an instruction every day, all amazingly designed - you've got to see it. Very funny, and the most original thing i've read this year. Highly recommended!

5.0 out of 5 stars Simply Stunning! 15 Nov 2003
I have never seen anything quite like this before in my life. It is the most amazing present that should be given to EVERYBODY at Xmas. Basically, Benrik have created not just a diary, but a cult that is sure to spread across the UK as more and more people become aware of this fabulous guide. It allows for your everyday doings but only if they coincide with what is prescribed for that day! From tatooing bananas to breaking laws (it's allowed with your trusty 'Above the Law' card); Benrik have created something very special here. My fave has to be January 3rd with a close runner up featured on my birthday when I have to propose to a total stranger. I've always been an atheist - maybe that's all about to change!

5.0 out of 5 stars ...... if you let it!! 12 Mar 2004
By Jayne S
This diary gives you challenges to complete each day and space to either record your success/failure or just to note appointments or birthdays. Its rude, blunt, funny, thought provoking, silly and useful all at the same time. Even if you don't want to keep a diary, it makes a great loo read, but you should try it for a month or so, if nothing else it will let you forget your troubles for a bit and that can't be bad!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars It did what it said on the cover.... 7 Mar 2004
I bought this book out of curiosity with the intention of giving it to someone as a christmas present. After I'd had a little read of it I decided that the person in question would not fully appreciate the humour in this book and as I had promised not to keep all of the decent presents I bought for myself I gave it to someone who I thought would!
It is a VERY funny laugh out loud kind of book and although it has a plan for the whole of 2004 it is still worth buying NOW as the best is yet to come!!

4.0 out of 5 stars Good fun! 9 Jan 2004
By Spoon
Bored of your hum drum life? 2004 likely to start as every other year did? Then buy this book!
Despite the title, it's not a life changing diary (although it could be if you wanted it to be), it's a harmless, fun way of getting through another year, with a difference.
The point of the diary is to give you a task to do each and every day throughout the year. From 1st January - "Today you must break your New Years Resolutions" to 31st December "Throw a party to unveil the new you after following this diary for a year".
Some tasks are easier to follow than others. For instance, it is far easier to simply, one day, get up at 5am, than it is to, another day, spend the whole day with your eyes shut.
A review doesn't really do this book justice. My advice is to flick through a copy and you will be hooked. It doesn't matter that the year has started already. There is no thread to the book, you can pick it up and leave it whenever you like, so buy it NOW!

5.0 out of 5 stars You can't go wrong next year . . . 11 Nov 2003
By A Customer
If you pick up this book before the end of this one. This book will not just crack you up at Christmas but also see you through the whole of 2004 - this is a complete winner - imagine THE DICEMAN written by THE LEAGUE OF GENTLEMEN. My favourite has to be January 25th but you will have to get your own copy to find out why.

4.0 out of 5 stars This Diary is me - Someones been watching!!! 27 Dec 2003
The 13th January for example - "write to a mass murderer day" is the type of things you don't wish your kids to start doing, keep this book under wraps! It's very creative though and for example on the 10th February I now have the instructions how to apply for my well deserved Knighthood, I am sure it won't be long coming... Great fun, buy a copy and LAUGH!
