As a huge fan of the iconic movie "Grease" which came out in 1978, I was both excited and fascinated when I heard that there was going to be a reunion CD for the leads JT and ONJ, the duo which holds the record for best-selling duet in chart history ("You're The One That I Want"). I waited with so much anticipation for the cd's release and was not at all disappointed when I listened to the songs - they actually get better and better with repeated listening.

Although all songs have JT and ONJ singing, they also have wonderful guest vocalists like Barbra Streisand, Cliff Richard, Tony Bennett and James Taylor. Barbra lends her exquisite vocals in "I'll Be Home For Christmas" while James Taylor sings with JT and ONJ in the melodic "Deck The Halls." The best songs of the album, however, belong to JT and ONJ with "Have Yourself a Merry Christmas" and especially the beautifully-arranged closing song "Auld Lang Syne / Christmas Is Here." JT and ONJ also do their own take on the song "Baby, It's Cold Outside" which is the opening song of the album.

What makes this album memorable is the fact that we hear JT and ONJ singing together again after 34 years (has it been that long?) and interpreting classic Christmas songs like "White Christmas" and "The Christmas Song". In terms of the last song syndrome (LSS) which is proof that the cd has affected me in one way or another, the tunes which keep ringing in my head after listening to the album are the funky title track "This Christmas" and the upbeat John Farrar-penned "I Think You Might Like It" (he wrote JT and ONJ's best-selling duet for the film "Grease").

As a fan of Christmas music, I recommend "This Christmas" as a wonderful addition to your Christmas collection. "This Christmas" has also been lovingly recorded since proceeds will go to the foundations of JT and ONJ. A must-own for JT and ONJ fans and lovers of Christmas music!

I am a huge Livvy fan and have been since Toomorrow but apart from Olivia's voice I can't find a good thing to say about this album, Travolta holds her back terribly I think it would work better as a tv show but as an album it doesn't do it for me.The messing about between O and Travolta are sometime really cringe worthy. It's a clever move by Travolta to work with Olivia again now (after his recent press)who is now a huge gay icon and the album couldn't be any camper so perhaps John did this to say he doesn't give a dam if the world thinks he's gay.

Whoever is bringing Olivia to the UK please please start your promotion work soon. I feel really disloyal thinking that without great promotion Livvy may struggle to fill some of the larger venues.I have tix for London and manchester apollo which is where I saw her last in 78 and I can't wait.

Had high hopes for this but was extremely disappointed, very very little effort was put into it. The Producers should never be allowed near a studio again, how on earth they managed to make ONJ sound so bad I'll never know (Silent Night is woeful compared to the other versions she's recorded). Travolta can actually sing, check out his solo 70's albums, yet here he is allowed to be so lazy, so obviously not bothered he just karaokes his way through the songs. Streisand and Cliff Richard is just bizarre and unnecessary. It's for charity, that is no excuse for such an abysmal offering. ONJ and Travolta hang your heads in shame! They are both so much better than this.

With two such enormous stars as Olivia and John Travolta there was no doubt that this was going to be a big album - allstar cast as well including James Taylor, Barbara Streisnad, Kenny G, and of course Cliff Richard!
A very polished and prfofessional perfomance all round including all our Christmas favourites makes one yearn to see an actual TV Special as well - nudge nudge you two.....

A gift for my Dad, as a big fan of Olivia Newton John. It does what it says on the tin.

Probably showing my age now, but they made some great songs together during the Grease / Xanadu era. I thought that, despite the years, they would recapture some of their old 'magic' with this collection of Christmas songs. Sadly, it didn't happen for me and I found the collection all a bit flat, and unexciting.
