'Slick, sexy, funny stories'

(Daily Telegraph )

Product Description

Ginny Holland's daughter Jem has headed off to university, leaving single mum Ginny with a severe case of empty nest syndrome. To make matters worse, the first gorgeous man she's clapped eyes on in years has just accused Ginny of shoplifting. So Ginny decides to advertise for a lodger but what she gets is lovelorn Laurel, who can only talk about her ex-boyfriend. However Laurel has a dangerously charming brother, Perry, and add to that the offer of a great new job, and things are looking up...until Ginny realises that her potential boss is all too familiar.

Is it too late for Ginny to set right the first impression she made when Finn Penhaligon got quite the wrong end of the stick? And is either Finn or Perry quite what they seem?

Romcom at its best 27 Aug 2007
Format:Paperback
Oh, I did like this. Jill Mansell has the gift of getting right into her heroine's skin, which means that as a reader, you get into the heroine's skin too. I sympathised (and squirmed in fellow feeling) with every step Ginny took as her daughter Jem went to uni and grew away(ish) from her. I also lusted along with her for Finn and despaired about how it would all work out. But this IS romcom so it did work out and very satisfyingly too. There aren't many people who can twist your heart-strings AND make you laugh, but Jill Mansell manages it time after time.

One of Jill's Best 10 May 2007
Format:Hardcover
I've read just about every Jill Mansell book out there. I've enjoyed them all, but Thinking of You turned out to be one of my all-time favorites. Perhaps it's because the main character is a wee bit older (not ancient, mind you, but not 21!) She's likeable, but not perfect. Ditto for the men in the story. Although it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out who "the" man is, Jill once again provides enough interesting hiccups along the way to keep you turning the pages. Jill's strength has always been to tie together several stories in an entertaining and coherent way (not that easy) and this book is no exception. I highly recommend adding this to your reading list!

There's only ever been one set of books that I literally haven't been able to put down, and that's the Harry Potter series. This is the first of Jill Mansell's book I have read, and will be reading more! I kept saying to myself "a couple more pages then go to sleep" but everytime I got to the end of a chapter I had to go on! I was up reading until 3am one morning!

It's a great book with comedy, romance, deceit and tears. I really got into the story and the characters. Definitely a worthwhile read..if you like your chick-lit and rom coms!
