This book is definitely useful preparation for the TSA tests: with chapters on the different "skills" necessary to do well in the test, good exercises, summaries of key terms, and answers in the back this book is easily accesible and practical.

I bought 2 of these books for myself and my daughter. We are doing Thinking Skills as a home study course as her school does not offer this subject.
The book is well written, stimulating and quite amusing, giving easily understood explanations.
We are working our way though it and I will note down what grade she gets next June 2011, which will probably be the best way to judge how effective this is for self/home study. But it seems easy to teach and my daughter is enjoying the book.

Not a bad start.
I have to say, I expected less. It may be a little light on depth and premise but was very well constructed and laid out with balanced escalation in subject matter. Read more
