Things I Know About Love is a great book for girls who love romance books, or people who like the story to be happy. Written in a typical teenage / young adult style, the author gets right inside a girl's mind, who is just taking her first steps into love. This book also helps you understand what a teenager goes through when suffering from a life threatening illness like leukemia, but for the most part, it isn't too depressing.
However, right at the end she drops a huge bombshell on the reader - it almost made me cry! The book is amazing and happy all the way through but the end leaves you feeling rather depressed, but it does change your outlook on life, and helps you understand how to deal with teenagers going through serious illnesses.
I would have given this book 5 stars, but unfortunately the ending changed my mind.

I really enjoyed this book as it falls under a variety of genres like: comedy, romance and tragedy. Things I Know About Love is a fantastic read because you can really relate to some of the things that happen to the main character (Livia). I really liked all of the different characters and the fact that they were all so different but all so likeable in their own way.I think that Kate Le Vann is a great author as I couldn't put this book down! I recommend this to anyone who loves a great ( but sad) read. It's AMAZING!!!

There is a lot of teenage fiction around at the moment, and in my experience a lot of it is characterless, lazy and very bland. 'Things I Know About Love' is none of these. It's fresh, gripping and genuinely funny - a really enjoyable read. The reviewers before me have already mentioned the ending, which was indeed a shock to me, but the book doesn't rely on this one shock. From the very first page you feel connected to the protagonist and you are heavily emotionally invested in her journey. It's mature and intelligent even when being light-hearted.
