gigantic, buzzing, slow-sludge metal chord guitar walls 9 Sept. 2014
By Charlie Quaker - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Vinyl
Debut solo album from the bass player for Harvey Milk, out of Athens, Georgia—Stephen Tanner lays down some gigantic, buzzing, slow-sludge metal chord guitar walls that vibrate the planet core with their glacial-paced, near-subsonic rumble. An ominous leading atmospheric drone covers everything with a heavy, dark, creeping blanket of distortion-overload doom. Some dirty, downer, pain-filled blues/psych riffs obliterate all forms of life with a tortured death-chortle dirge-moan. Some of the titles are: “Hopelessness and Worthlessness”, “Trying and Giving Up”, “Great Depression”, “Failure”, “It’s Not Going To Get Better” & “Tremendous Misery Sets In”. I think you get the picture. Sometimes it recalls bands like Sleep, Gore, Swans, Throne. Mr. Tanner is having a hard time, and he wants to share it with you. Be his friend.

... doom metal from the bassist of one of my favorite bands ever - Harvey Milk 2 Sept. 2014
By Bingo Sanchez - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Vinyl
Absolutely crushing instrumental doom metal from the bassist of one of my favorite bands ever - Harvey Milk. This is a true funeral dirge that's not to be messed with. 2 vinyl slabs of obliteration. Highly recommended! LET DOOM REIGN OER ME!
