It is a good symbolic gift. I have not read it myself but my friend liked the idea! It is something different!

Lame 19 Nov. 2012

This does not change anything from the word for word copy on Glamour's website and several other blogs. I purchased it thinking the other sites were a preview, NOPE, the entire thing. So it's free everywhere else and if you were thinking it was a more thourough version than what was presented previously by glamour, you will be disappointed.

Taylor Swift on Turning 30 12 Dec. 2012
By E Price - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Hardcover
Ok, some of these short essays are interesting, others I found a bit depressing, but Taylor Swift's was just... hilarious.

I don't think it was meant to be, but I laughed so hard I cried. And then called the friend who gave me this book for my 30th, and laughed with her about it.
The truth is, she's going to look back on it when she IS actually 30 and cringe. (And not just because of the gratuitous Alanis Morissette quoting-- 1995 called, they want their angst back).

I haven't read the whole book, but if you're a fan of dramatic young women pretending they know enough to give advice to *anyone*... worth buying it for T-Swift's contribution alone.

An amazing read from inspiring women! 25 April 2012
By Amazon Customer - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Kindle Edition
I bought this book yesterday and couldnt put it down! It's such an amazing read from a broad spectrum of women and great advice whether you are 30 or not! I have always been a fan of the magazine Glamour and the list this book is based off of, and to have this collection of stories and women's inputs on what to them has been important lessons in life is truly inspiring! And to the first reviewer who gave the book one star based off of the sample ...you should of actually sat down and read the book cover to cover before you gave it such an unfair low rating ...and maybe you could of picked up some lessons from the book itself if you had actually taken the time to read it.

Quick, easy read 25 Feb. 2013

Got this book for my daughter. I thumbed through it first. I found it a bit simple for my taste and there is not a lot of information, but it was light and entertaining and food for thought. It was perfect for her. She gets bored quickly with books (can this really be my daughter?), and this was just enough to hold her attention

For your existential crisis at 30 29 Jan. 2013
By Amanda Ries - Published on Amazon.com

Bought this book a few weeks before I turned 30. A lot of it was great - good things to hear before you approach 30 and good reminders about what is really important! But - including authors who ARE NOT YET 30 - epic fail. I will not listen to Taylor Swift during my "holy crap I'm turning 30" meltdown.
