A Quirky '40' Gift 14 May 2009
By CK
Format:Paperback
This is a groovy little book, well presented and full of tips and ideas of whacky things to do once you reach 40. It covers lots of different angles of life, in separate sections and is just a really pleasant, humorous read - nothing serious and easy to 'dip into'.

As it's not personal, it makes a great, comical gift for a friend who's about to hit the big 40.

As a gimmicky little present that you're not really expecting the recipient to read, it serves its purpose fine, but the actual content of the book appears to be more about "how to live a good life" than anything specifically for over-40s. If you've reached 40 and aren't aware of what sort of actions give you a sense of reward and wellbeing, I'm not sure that a book telling you now is going to make much difference! I was expecting something a bit more light-hearted or radical or age-specific.

Serious business 15 April 2010
Format:Paperback
I bought this book for my friend and whilst it had lots of suggestions as to what to do now that your 40, it was rather serious and would have been better if it was a bit more light-hearted.
